When you are feeling a great deal of stress and tension, your energy is quickly depleted. But here’s a great stress management and stress relief idea so you can feel quickly rested without having to take a nap.
REDUCING STRESS ALL OVER YOUR BODY
Find a quiet place and lie on your back. Start by slowing your breathing and concentrating on feeling your body slowly sinking into the ground. Work on each part of your body, aiming to relax each muscle group until it feels loose.
Start with each foot, then move to the lower part of your legs, then the upper part of your legs. As you relax, let go of the stress in each part of your body by quietly repeating to yourself “my right foot is relaxed”, “my left foot is relaxed”. Work your way up your body until you reach the top of your head.
LESS STRESSED AND REFRESHED
When you have finished, arise and notice how refreshed you feel without having to take a nap. You’ll feel rested and your stress levels will have been significantly reduced.
