STRESS AND WORRY OFTEN MAKES YOU FEEL OUT OF BALANCE

Stress, tension and anxiety can soon tip your life out of balance.

Here is a quick stress management and stress relief strategy to check if this balance is tipping out of control.

YOUR STRESS RELIEF AND STRESS MANAGEMENTACTIVITY

Think of one stress relief activity that you do on a regular basis and that you really, really enjoy.

It must be something you do regularly for the actual enjoyment of the activity without any specific other stressful goals.

It could be your weekly trip to the movies, Sunday afternoon restful nap or Friday night dinner with friends. Whatever the activity is, if it starts disappearing from your life because of other commitments, then it’s time to stop and ask yourself these questions…

STRESS QUESTIONS TO CHECK YOUR BALANCE

Is this regular stress relief activity I enjoy doing, now becoming irregular?

Has this activity been replaced with another activity that I dislike doing?

Does this replacement activity cause me more stress and tension?

If the answer is yes to these three questions then the balance is tipping towards greater stress, anxiety and distress in your life. It is time to reconsider what commitments you really do need in your life and how to continue to engage in activities that you really enjoy and reduce your stress.
