STRESS BOUNDARIES AND THEIR POWER

STRESS CAN TAKE OVER YOUR LIFE…

Stress can become overwhelming in your life. Often stressful experiences happen because you have not set your own ‘stress boundaries’. Building your own boundaries is vital for your own stress management and stress relief.

YOU NEED CLEAR BOUNDARIES

You need to set clear boundaries about what you we will and what you won’t do. Clear boundaries let you say no more often to what you don’t want to do and yes more often to what you want to do. And that is so good for your stress levels.

FEELING OVERWHELMED BY THE DEMANDS OF OTHERS?

If you are feeling overwhelmed by the demands of others in your life, then it’s a time to set or rebuild some boundaries. No-one else will set these boundaries for you. You have to take control of your own life and stress levels.

PRACTICE SAYING THIS WORD POLITELY

So next time someone asks you to do something that you do not want to do, practice saying a polite no! “No! But thanks for asking me to help but at the moment I feel I’m not taking enough time to look after myself and relax more, so I will have to say no for now”.

SETTING YOUR OWN BOUNDARIES REDUCES YOUR STRESS

Life is far too short to spend your time allowing others to always invade your space and make constant demands on your time and energy. Setting and building your own boundaries gives you back control over your own life and reduces your stress.
